WILLIE MULLINS will rely solely on Hurricane Fly for the Stan James Champion Hurdle, as a field of nine were on Sunday declared for Tuesday's Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival.
As expected, Annie Power and Un De Sceaux were both scratched, along with stablemate Thousand Stars, who has an entry in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle.
This leaves two-time winner Hurricane Fly facing eight rivals in the race, with The New One, My Tent Or Yours, Our Conor and Jezki all mouthwatering ingredients in what promises to be a tasty race.
Jezki has been declared with a hood for the first time, as connections attempt to get the six-year-old to settle better, with Captain Cee Bee, Grumeti, Melodic Rendezvous and Ptit Zig completing the field.
Dessie Hughes on Saturday reported Our Conor, a best-priced 4-1 chance, has settled in well at the racecourse stables in Cheltenham.
"He went over on Thursday and all is good with him," said Hughes of the five-year-old.
"He thrived when he got there last year before winning the Triumph, so we decided to send him over again well in advance of his target."
