| Malc top scores with 5 points this Saturday. Mark kept his lead 7 point lead over John going into the final week and Steve joins Jason in 3rd. A full house could dramatically change the table so form books out everyone. 1 Marko 174 2 John 167 3 Jase 162 3 Steve 162 .................... 5 Laz 159 6 Andy 155 7 Phil 153 7 Malc 153 9 Frankie 152 10 Ernie 148 Any mistakes let me know. | been a good comp Frankie thanks for running this
I think it worked good with the way we did the bets, but just chucking a idea up now which might be worth looking at which I think would increase the prize money even more plenty of time to think about it,It's your comp, your shout,
most of the bets have been two or three up,I know we have had a few 4 timers but not as many as I thought we would if we did
A £1 patent we would double the returns for any bets up to three winners, and miss out on four timers, but overall I think there would be more prize money generated, like I say your call mate, but might be worth a try |

Then i thought, law of averages. The more selections we choose, the more chance of the bookies winning. I thought about the patent, doubles and trebles etc and came to the conclusion picking ONE match and putting the £7.50 stake on as a single would probably return a lot more than this year. Currently, we have around £330 in the kitty, which would mean we would have to win around 25 weeks out of 40 to equal the current amount. Then i thought what about picking TWO matches each week? Choosing two matches at 4/5 for BTTS would return £24.30 for the £7.50 stake. This would mean we would only have to get BOTH matches up 14 times out of 40 to equal the current amount. Surely that's achievable? Negatives? If one team doesn't score we get nowt. This would be my current favourite but if we are all in it again next year, we can vote on our own choice and go with the majority, something like this. 2015/16 Choice of Bet:- 1) 50p Lucky 15 = £7.50 Stake 2) £1 Patent = £7.00 Stake 3) £7.50 Double = £7.50 Stake Feel free to add your choice or choices.

| I was just going on the law of averages over last season we had a few singles but most were 2 or 3 and at a £1 a time patent we would be almost assured of a return every week, as you say with a bit of luck we should be able to surpass this years total, perhaps enough for puppy to buy a season ticket for the canaries second season in the championship,I only put it up now while it was on my mind plenty of time to decide.listen to all the views, and you decide on it mate
OR HAVE THOSE THREE BETS AND THE MEMBER DOING IT HAS THE CHOICE |

100% correct, Phil but for every additional selection, you multiply the odds of you being correct don't you? A bookie will welcome people who do Lucky 15's over a win single every day with the letter 'Y' in it. ;-) Like John says, plenty of time. Maybe we should let the payee decide how to spend his own hard earned? One person did both teams not to score in a bet this season so maybe that should be an option too? Thinking caps on for the summer.

I agree and maybe we should just say every member has to spends a certain amount when its their turn and can do singles multiples or whatever but MUST surely do Both teams To Score condsidering thats the name of the Comp |

Look at Arsenal-Chelsea today. That had 0-0 written all over it...and it's still part of the Goals Galore Bet (Yes or No options) Same with Liverpool - 6 away clean sheets in the prem. Let's keep our options open.

So if we stipulate in the comp we are predicting a Both Teams Not to Score and it finishes 1-0 you will score us a point? That's the bet the bookies take. Both teams to score yes or no. Take Liverpool v Hull Tuesday. Both teams to score? Yes - 10/11 No - 4/5 Obviously, i'd rather have all 8 matches one way or the other (as it's easier to score) but if it keeps people interested, they can mix and match. Like John suggested, he puts a patent on each turn then uses the extra £2 for an extra double on his week 4. Just thinking of ways of keeping it fresh.

| FINAL TABLE....The final table looks like this after Mark continued his great form with the joint highest score of 6 with 3 others. John finished a distant 2nd and Jason made 3rd place outright. Steve had a bad week at the wrong time allowing Laz to join him in 4th. Well done to Mark for getting 3 of his 4 selections up for the bet too. 1 Marko 180 2 John 172 3 Jase 166 4 Steve 165 4 Laz 165 .................... 6 Andy 160 7 Malc 159 8 Phil 158 8 Frankie 158 10 Ernie 152 Any mistakes, let me know by PM. | |

| FINAL TABLE PAYOUTS.... 1 Marko 180 - £162.322 John 172 - £81.173 Jase 166 - £27.05All others receive £9.66 each.4 Steve 165 4 Laz 165 6 Andy 160 7 Malc 159 8 Phil 158 8 Frankie 158 10 Ernie 152 These figures might change by a few pence either way when Laz and Marko confirm their returns. (I've workd out Mark's on bet calculator and estimated Laz's at 50p x a 4/5 single on Burton. | |
