DAILY DONKEY TABLE

trial and error with this idea/format.... already today has highlighted a couple of flaws you could say..

1) non runners!! (2 fell victim)

2) drifters!! (nobody fell victim but only a matter of time.... 2/1 in the morning.. sent off 14/1 and wins half the track)

anyway.... well done everyone so far.. theres been an 8/1 off the crossbar.. someone got 2x 2nds and someone selected a 50/1 shot!!!!

I was thinking for future comp perhaps more points if you pick a small price compared to a big price

example 8/11 loser should be worth more than a 33/1 shot,

all points taken on board.. HOWEVER playing with real money you still get £10 (£9.50 after commision) if your horse is 1/20 or 500/1 BUT for the purposes of a comp i take your point

I don't understand how it works from the betting side mate,your'e right I was thinking of the competition angle

Not really mate, I have always been more of a backer. But this is going back a few years, and I was having a lot of success with laying one year but then it only takes one or two bad days. I remember it was the day Gift Horse won the Stewards' Cup with Fallon on board, everything I laid that day kept winning and GH was my biggest liability. I won't go into details but that day wiped out all the profit I had made from laying over the season. I still lay them occasionally but not for any serious money.

cheers all those who made the week, well done to tinny and frankie, i wont bother with a play-off as there is no prize on offer.. we'll just shake hands and call a draw.... anyway i was thinking about the format and ALL suggestions put forward.. ive come up with this idea..

how about everyone has to put up just 2 LAYS a day (reduced from 3 to 2 to save members time)

from there YOU will have a MAX LIABILTY off £200 per day!!

for example

horse (A) lay £25 @ 3/1 - liability = £75

horse (B) lay £125 @ 1/1 - liability = £125

TOTAL LIABILITY = £200

both lays are successful then your bank will be +£150

we will use the sportinglife tissue prices for reference

**this format will require you do have some basic knowledge of LAYING horses.**

Seems ok that mate. Could you just put up how much you would have to lay on a 66/1 shot and how much profit it would return?
